Japanese Week

Ho deciso di dedicare una settimana di post al Giappone, alla sua cultura, al suo popolo e dare cosi una "mano virtuale" che anche se non servirà a migliorare le cose, sicuramente servirà a non dimenticare. Ho deciso di cambiare l'intestazione del blog e lasciare per questa settimana una foto che è come una preghiera collettiva, per chi crede e per chi no, che sia solo un abbraccio da tutto il mondo e non una preghiera religiosa a tutti i costi. Mi piacerebbe leggere dei vostri commenti ai prossimi post, dove scambiamo notizie, nozioni e curiosità su questa parte di mondo, al momento distrutto ma che si rialzerà sicuramente in piedi, come solo loro sanno fare.

I decided to dedicate a week of post to Japan, its culture, people and so give a "virtual" hand that also if is not the way to make something better, sure will be the way to don't forget about it. I decided to change also the image of my blog and put for this japanese week, this picture that is like a collective prayer, for who believes and for who doesn't, just as a big hug from all the world and not just a religious prayer. I'd like to read your comments in next post about news, knowledge and curiosity about this part of world destroyed at the moment, but soon strong again, as they usually do.

Ho cercato di evitare e far finta che almeno in questo spazio "ludico" non fosse mai successo niente. Ma siamo seri, nessuno ha una vita tutta fiocchi e merletti, e in questo momento c'è una parte di mondo devastata, dove fiocchi e merletti sono stati scossi e sommersi e nonostante la tragedia, tutti continuano a "salvarsi" con dignita. Meritano di essere ricordati e meritano anche di essere aiutati.

I tried to don't care about it and leave this space always fun and colorfull but I can't. Be seriously, the life is not always pink and lace, and in this moment there is a part of the world that is destroyed and the lace is underwater. There are people trying to save themself with dignity and I think they deserve to be help and not forgotten.

Poggioreale - Luca Savettiere

Stasera, dopo i vari impegni della giornata, io ed Elisa siamo andate a vedere la mostra fotografica di Luca Savettiere intitolata Poggioreale. Purtroppo la qualità e la quantità di foto scattate è scarsa a causa dell'enorme affluenza di gente che stazionava davanti i quadri e si intratteneva a chiacchierare e salutarsi. Il posto era effettivamente piccolo e la gente era troppa per quello spazio. Ciò nonostante ho fotografato le foto che mi sono piaciute di più, che esprimono questo concetto di "città fantasma". In una sala (dove non ho potuto fotografare) vi era una installazione audio/video dove scorrevano le immagini silenziose di questo villaggio abbandonato mentre come sottofondo il rumore continuo del terremoto metteva un pò di ansia e devo dire era molto suggestivo tutto l'insieme. Immaginare una cittadina intera, colpita dal terremoto improvvisamente e costretta a trasferirsi altrove lasciando tutto in balia della natura è impressionante.

This evening, after all the other meetings of the day, me and Elisa, we went to photography show of Luca Savettiere named "Poggioreale". I'm sorry for quality and quantity of pictures but there were too much people standing in front of the works talking. The place was really little and we cannot walk or watch all the works. I tried to make a shooting of my favourite pics and I hope you'll like them. The concept of this "Ghost City" was perfectly clear, and in a room there was an audio/video installation where picture of poggioreale were accompanied from a earthquake sound, so emotional and suggestive. I gotta say I didn't know about the disaster of 1968 in Poggioreale and it's strange to think about a little city, destroyed by an earthquake and left at the mercy of nature.
