Il mio pensiero va a tutti i componenti del crew, perchè credo sia stato davvero un incubo..
I've been working in Costa Crociere ships for a long beautiful year. We did the boat drill almost 100 times. There was the course of 15 days, and the lesson with passegers to explain what to do in case of emergency. You can do the course 1000 times but it will be never as the real emergency. I remember one night, I was getting ready for gala evening like all the others crew member when we heard the sound of fire emergency. We were all prepared for this, nevertheless we were everybody on the door, scared and totally in panic. After few seconds we heard the captain says "It's everything ok, it's just a faulty alarm". Now, also if I can try to be in their shoes, I really can't imagine how they felt.
1000 crew members saved life to 3000 passengers, the same that now are complaining about the fear in the crew's eyes, the unpreparedness and that there weren't too much boat for everybody. This beacuse the ship was folded on the right side.
But I think they have to talk about young guys 20 years old doing entertainement, about old people that see their family just 3 times in one year, or about girls that just want to dance, that saved their life, going down from the ship at the end of evacuetion. Obviously there were also precious helps from the land, but do you know how to keep calm 3000 persons in panic, in the night, in a ship going down, in a freezing sea? I DON'T.
